It is all the different experience and skills, we all bring together that is most exciting and valuable. Phoenix is a huge organisation with many different business areas and teams. You're never too far from an expert in whatever subject you're looking for support in.
Another fantastic skill we all posses is the people skills - Phoenix colleagues and culture are very well known for our supportive, encouraging and nurturing approach in any situation, especially when the challenge you're up against is complex - it's always all hands on deck!

Willingness to learn. Whilst effective recruitment should mean that you are bringing in people with skills matched to the job, there are always things that people can learn. People who ask questions (and listen to the answers) tend to integrate into the team a lot quicker than those who sit back and hope to pick it up. Even for experienced colleagues, a willingness to learn new tasks or skills not only increases their knowledge, but means the team are constantly trying to work in the most effective way and never settle for second best.

It is both skills and behaviours I value among colleagues, and not just one skill either. It is the range of skills available when working through projects, work items, issues, etc which makes the difference and the willingness of everyone to help and support with their particular expertise. Also, the mix of individuals with those who can see the bigger picture, those who can understand the detail, those who are creative and those who are great people persons all getting to deliver great outcomes.

Honesty and having the right attitude to always do your best even when things are tough. No being afraid to offer their opinion and sharing their experiences so you can learn from them. Also to ask for help if needed or offering help where you think you can.
