From studying translation in Brussels to a Finance career in London

I studied modern languages in Brussels before moving to London - with the original intention of only staying for 1 year to experience the city. My first job was with Hilton Worldwide in the corporate sales team, but after 4 years with the Group I decided that the hotel sector wasn't for me, and I made the switch to Finance. I started working at Phoenix in 2013 and had the opportunity to progress my career within the Group and experience different roles in Group Treasury, Investor Relations and Group Strategy.

I collaborate with teams across the Group to help shaping strategy

My role is very varied, but primarily I help coordinate the Group strategic planning process and support senior management and business units on strategic analysis and strategy-setting.

I most enjoy working with people and having a tangible impact in terms of helping shape the Group's strategy.

Moving to London on my own and building a life here.

I am still nowhere near the end of my career journey, so I am not sure how to answer this, but my greatest personal achievement is moving to London on my own and building a life and career here.
