Hi Genadijs - thanks for your interest and questions! Our vision is to be the UK's leading retirement savings and income business. We are looking at growing the business through new products and new business. In the past we have grown through acquisition. One key thing we look to do is try to ensure that every employee knows how they contribute to this. Within Finance we are responsible for external and internal reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and ensuring that accounting and finance requirements for new business and transactions are considered. We like to think that maintaining a stable and well controlled finance environment helps build a platform from which the organisation can grow.

Hi Genadijs, So an example of new business could be things like bulk purchase annuity programs where we onboard and manage large books of annuity business.

As Josh notes in our Retirement Solutions areas we are one of the key players in the UK quoting to pensions schemes who are looking to buy out their obligations. From a branding perspective a key brand is Standard Life where we offer products under this umbrella to individuals and workplaces - this year Standard Life is sponsoring Race for Life and has national media advertising encouraging interest in our offerings.
